General Mills Manufacturing is seeking an Industrial Controls Technician at our Hannibal site. The role focuses on supporting, troubleshooting, and improving processing/packaging control systems such as Wonderware, ArchestrA, PLCs, and related equipment.
The position offers a starting pay of $37.50 per hour with a $1/hour shift premium for 2nd/3rd shifts and requires the ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift on a rotating basis.

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information
8-hour shifts
2nd Shift: 2 pm to 10:30 pm
3rd Shift: 10 pm to 6:30 am
Currently hiring for 2nd and/or 3rd shift (shift is dependent upon business need) Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
Plantoperates24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
As part of our manufacturing team, you will:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
2 + years (minimum) experience in Controls Programming and Industrial Controls Technology or equivalent education in a related field/industry
Knowledge and practical application with the following technology areas: PLC’s, HMI’s, process instrumentation, machine control systems, VFD’s, servo drives, robotics, power distribution (<600V), control system networking, and electrical safety
Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts
Mustpossessthe ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplaceregardingwork matters (our business isgenerally conductedin English)
Ability tolift upto 50lbs
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
Ability to climb and/or work at heights whileutilizingstairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net,gloves,and face masks (whenrequired)
Ability to work around high-speed machinery and foodallergens
