Job summary

McNaughton McKay Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Systems Engineer to support sales engineering, customer applications, and vendor coordination.

You will build relationships with sales and customers, monitor product applications, develop solutions, and train staff. This role requires BS degree, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering contact within McNaughton McKay Group who is responsible for the sales support of customers.
• Develop relationships with Sales and the decision-makers within the identified customers.
• Monitor the application and business trends implemented at the identified customers.
• Develop a marketing strategy with Sales to promote the sales of the assigned product technologies.
• Develop solutions for the assigned products that address the value-add activities provided to customers.
• Utilize customer relationships and documented activities to leverage the value-add activities provided to customers.
• Establish business relationships with vendors of assigned products and serve as the technical liaison for customer sales and support.
• Assist in the development of vendor contracts and agreements with vendors of assigned products.
• Manage the availability and customer requirements for the assigned products.
• Manage the availability and Services & Solutions team requirements for the assigned products.
• Train the inside sales and technical support personnel in the assigned products.
• Educate and support the Sales staff on the assigned products.
• Develop and maintain the information and support infrastructure required for the assigned products.
• Qualify the level of assistance provided to customers with product and integration issues.
• Create the required service procedures to support the assigned products.
• Develop the vendor service/support strategies for the assigned products.
