Job summary

B&G Automated Inc. in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking an Industrial Controls Electrician to install, maintain and troubleshoot automation systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will read schematics, program PLCs/HMI, and service VFDs and motor control circuits while collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license required.
• 3+ years in industrial electrical or controls work.
• Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and motor control circuits.
• Proficiency with reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Willingness to travel and pass drug test.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical control systems and automation equipment


• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical blueprints


• Program, configure, and service PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices

Requirements

• Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license


• 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical or controls work


• EMT/Rigid Conduit Layout/Bending (Manual and Electric Benders)


• Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) is a plus


• Strong knowledge of NEC codes and industrial wiring standards


• Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and motor control circuits


• Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings


• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in a safety‑first environment


• Must be able to pass a drug test (random)


• Overtime Will Be Required (Inc. after‑hours service calls, project crunch times, allotted company downtimes)


• Some Travel in USA and International required (Normally a few times a year)
