Job summary

Tropicana Brands Group is seeking a Manufacturing Electrician to support our Electrician team in Bradenton, FL. You will plan, lay out and perform installation, repair and maintenance on a full range of electrical equipment and circuitry throughout the plant, including PLCs, VFDs, motors, and power distribution.

Ideal candidates have strong troubleshooting skills, can read technical manuals, and follow wiring diagrams and schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electrical & Instrumentation.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Read Technical Manuals and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, and transformers.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout and perform installation, repair, and maintenance on electrical equipment throughout the plant.
• Install, maintain and repair PLCs, VFDs, transformers, motor control centers and related equipment.
• Perform soldering for installations or repairs.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical systems using appropriate tools.
• Program and troubleshoot VFDs.
• Operate Bucket Truck or other access equipment as needed.

Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

We are looking for a Manufacturing Electrician to support our Electrician team. This role will be responsible for planning, layout and performing a wide range of installation, repair, and maintenance operations on a full range of electrical equipment and circuitry throughout the plant. Additional responsibilities include:

• Plan, layout and perform a wide range of installation, repair, and maintenance operations on a full range of electrical equipment and circuitry throughout the plant.
• Install, maintain and repair complex automatic controls, generating equipment, transformers, motor control centers, and related electrical equipment, including PLC’s and VFD’s.
• Install, maintain and repair motors and power distribution systems, including transformers, motor starters, switchgear etc.
• Perform soldering as required for installations or repairs.
• Perform troubleshooting of PLC’s and using PLC’s for troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Program and troubleshoot VFD’s using HIM module and / or other tools or software.

The Perfect Blend: Experience

• Be familiar with and capable of, operating and working in a Bucket Truck and / or man-lift.
• Be able to read and understand Technical Manuals.
• Follow drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Be able to identify electrical components and follow wiring diagrams.
• Be familiar with and have the ability to carry and use hand and power tools.
• Diagnose and remedy problems using test equipment and service manuals.
• Intermediate PLC troubleshooting including both discrete and analog devices using RSLogix5 and RSLogix500.
• Disassemble units, determine extent of trouble, repair or replace components, reassemble, and adjust for proper operation.
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Electrical & Instrumentation field, equivalent formal training plus experience, or equivalent related experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be located in Bradenton, FLor willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
• Willingness to adapt and thrive in a work environment with in-office operations

The current hourly rate for this position is $42.21

Upon successful completion of one year of service, employees will advance to Trades 6, with a corresponding pay increase to $46.26 per hour.
