Cincinnati Incorporated is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop, and maintain electrical and electronic control systems for our industrial machinery in Harrison, OH. The role involves motion control, firmware development, component selection, and driving improvements in performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of industrial controls experience, familiarity with UL/NEC standards, and an energetic, collaborative approach to engineering

Qualifications

• Design electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for industrial machinery.
• Develop and maintain digital/analog electronic designs and motor control systems.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA, NEC, ANSI, UL standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Design clear electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for release to manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain bills of materials with lean principles.
• Review designs for compliance with applicable standards (NFPA, NEC, ANSI, UL).
• Design electronic modules and control systems for industrial machine tools.
• Develop, debug, and maintain control firmware.
• Identify obsolescence and propose replacements.
• Research emerging technologies for potential integration.
• Specify and select industrial PC hardware, software, and control components.
• Evaluate pricing and pursue cost-reduction opportunities without quality loss.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and field service teams.
• Apply design for reliability and manufacturability, and perform risk assessment.
