Job summary

Diversified Automation, Inc. is seeking a motivated Controls and Commissioning Co-op in Louisville, KY to support conveyor system integration projects.

Under guidance from senior controls engineers, you will assist with electrical controls, PLC programming, testing, documentation, and commissioning activities while gaining hands-on experience in industrial automation and material handling systems. Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechatronics/computer engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of industrial automation and PLC programming.
• Familiarity with Rockwell Automation platforms is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 80–90% during co-op.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, I/O lists, control narratives, and system documentation.
• Participate in system testing and validation to ensure design compliance.
• Assist with testing and commissioning documentation completion.
• Support field commissioning and startup activities for projects.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Travel to customer sites to support testing and startup activities.
