About the rolePicture a day where you move from a servo controller fault to a facility power upgrade without missing a beat. You trace a signal on a schematic, confirm a motor starter is wired to spec, bend and pull new conduit runs, and verify that a 480V circuit is right-sized for the load and distance. You wrap up by coaching a teammate through an NEC interpretation and phoning a vendor to source a specialty sensor.That’s a typical day for our Industrial Controls and Power Electrician. You’ll install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across the plant and grounds, keeping production safe, compliant, and running at peak performance.Pay: $38.00-$48.47 an hour.What you’ll doDiagnose and repair malfunctioning industrial machinery; collaborate with mechanics and supervisors to confirm corrective actions.Apply and interpret NEC requirements to help ensure plant-wide electrical safety and compliance.Troubleshoot and maintain advanced controls, including servo systems, amplifiers, and controllers.Proactively seek out and resolve issues in electrical components and systems throughout facilities and grounds.Install, maintain, and repair low- and high-voltage power distribution (24V–480V) for equipment and building systems.Read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose motors, motor controls, and device-level controls.Locate faults in sensors and solid-state devices; perform effective repairs.Bend and install various types of conduit; size wire and conduit based on distance and FLA; terminate conductors to spec.Identify and order parts via manuals and prints; coordinate with vendors and contractors.Share knowledge across a diverse maintenance team; provide clear written and verbal communication.Build strong working relationships with maintenance colleagues, outside contractors, and suppliers.Other duties as assigned.What you’ll bringJourneyman or Master Electrician license required (For the state of Massachusetts).High school diploma or GED; or 5+ years of related electrical experience/training; or an equivalent blend of education and experience.Background in complex manufacturing operations (preferred).Proficiency across 24V–480V systems, industrial power distribution, and building electrical.Comfort mentoring teammates and collaborating cross-functionally.Compliance noticesESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
