Job summary

BW Design Group seeks a Director of Construction in California to lead complex industrial projects, oversee EPC/Design-Build delivery, and drive client satisfaction across major markets including food, beverage, life science, and manufacturing. Qualifications

Minimum 15 years in diverse construction roles with 8+ years in construction management.
Experience leading industrial construction projects end-to-end.
Familiarity with process systems and reading P&IDs.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Experience with design-build and EPC projects; willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
Knowledge of prime contract requirements and estimate/schedule development.

Responsibilities

Steer projects from conception to fruition, aligning with client and organizational objectives.
Lead risk assessment, contract negotiations, and critical fee/pricing decisions.
Serve as primary contact for market leaders, ensuring project performance excellence.
Identify new opportunities and participate in proposals defining scopes of work.
Manage budgets and financials throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead and develop project teams, ensuring safety and quality standards.
