Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC in Michigan City, Indiana seeks an Assembler to build compressors following Work Center Instructions, P&I, wiring diagrams and BOMs. You will assemble frames, tanks, engines, and components, install tubing, insulation, and electrical connections, and inspect finished machines for quality.

The role requires a High School education or equivalent, willingness to learn, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read basic work instructions, labels, and visual aids.
• Willingness to learn new processes and training.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble compressors using Work Center Instructions, P&I, Wiring Diagram and BOM.
• Install tubing, fixtures, insulation and heat trace as required.
• Assemble frames, tanks, engines, components and mount assemblies.
• Connect motor leads and wire controls; test electrical components per specs.
• Inspect finished machines and receive into finished goods.
• Stock materials and keep work area clean and orderly.
