Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking a seasoned technician to lead complex installs, repairs, and maintenance of commercial and industrial door systems. You will service diverse sites, troubleshoot, and ensure safety and code compliance while documenting all work for accurate records.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years in commercial door service, with strong mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Document service visits, repairs, and installs with accurate records and reports.

As a seasoned technician with 4+ years in the trade, you’ll take the lead on complex installs, repairs, and maintenance across diverse sites—keeping doors, docks, and hardware operating safely and efficiently.A day in the fieldYou’ll roll out in a company-provided vehicle to a curated mix of service calls. One visit might have you troubleshooting a faulty closer and low-voltage access control; the next, replacing springs, hinges, and locks, verifying code compliance, and walking customers through options.
