Job summary

CCI Industrial Services, LLC is seeking an Industrial Coatings Technician to prepare surfaces and apply coatings in harsh North Slope conditions. You will ensure compliance with NACE specifications, safety standards, and client requirements while protecting tanks, piping, vessels and equipment.

Work involves abrasive blasting, surface prep, applying protective coatings, reading product specs, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license and NSTC card.
SSPC or equivalent coating certification.
2+ years blasting & coating experience including blasting equipment, airless and conventional sprays.
Ability to read product specifications and apply coatings to meet specs.
Able to work in harsh weather, remote locations.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces to be coated to NACE standards using bristle and media blasting.
Conduct abrasive blasting, grinding, and cleaning of tanks and equipment.
Apply protective coatings to interior/exterior surfaces of tanks and piping.
Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure coating adhesion and coverage.
Maintain and troubleshoot coating equipment; construct scaffolding per regulations.
Communicate daily project status to Lead Technician; ensure safety compliance.
