Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. is seeking an Industrial Coatings Process Engineer to provide daily technical and process support across Operations, stabilizing quality and improving throughput while collaborating with vendors on equipment upgrades.

The role leads troubleshooting of process control systems, validates methods, optimizes layouts and lines, and coordinates with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to deliver efficiency initiatives and capital projects.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related field is required.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering or similar experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily technical/process support across Operations to stabilize quality and improve throughput.
  • Lead troubleshooting of equipment and process control systems to enhance batch quality, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
  • Test new and existing production procedures to validate methods and standardize work.
  • Organize resources and manage workflows; resolve production delays promptly.
  • Optimize layouts, lines, machine operations, and overall network performance to unlock capacity.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers on upgrades and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations in all procedures.
  • Plan and execute efficiency initiatives and capital projects from scope to commissioning.
  • Coordinate with in-house maintenance and external contractors to complete repairs and improvements.
