Job summary

North West Rubber in Houston seeks an Industrial Cleaner to handle general cleaning in designated areas and assist with production cleanups.

You will train on elevated work platforms and forklift operation; must have excellent attendance and be able to stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
• Fast learner who can follow instructions.
• Experience with cleaning roles is helpful.
• Forklift license ideal; training provided.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties in designated areas and disposal of debris.
• Clean on a scissor lift and sky jack (training provided).
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance tasks.
• Clean up after production processes.
• Work with air pressure equipment.
• Notify management of issues or repairs needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Other cleaning duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• General cleaning duties, such as blowing down designated areas,sweeping and discarding foreign material into a tip bin for disposal, shoveling, etc.
• Cleaning on a scissor lift and sky jack (will train employees in proper procedure)
• Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carrying out heavy cleaning tasks and cleaning up after production processes
• Working with air pressure equipment
• Notifying management of any issues or repairs needed
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Other cleaning duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Working with heights/Fall Training (willing to train)
• Experience operating Elevated Work Platforms (willing to train)
• Forklift License ideal (willing to train)
• Excellent attendance & punctuality
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Fast learner who is able to follow instructions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time up to 12 hours
• Ability to work with minimum or no supervision
• Previous experience as an industrial cleaner is an asset
