Required Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma.
2. This posting is open to Journeyman Carpenters and Apprentices. To be considered as an Apprentice, you must have:
   • At least 1 year of experience in farming, manual labor, mechanical/machine shop, or construction environments.
   • Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.
3. Experience in civil or heavy industrial construction with concrete work.
4. Ability to carry, lift, or hold building materials and use tools weighing 5 to 75 pounds.
5. Ability to climb and work on ladders, various surfaces, and heights.
6. Ability to pass a drug test; background checks are required for all new hires.
7. Member of the Mid-American Carpenters Union or the ability to join.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform carpentry tasks related to prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete, including building and setting forms for footings, slabs, walls, columns, vaults, decks, and site work per specifications and drawings.
• Use various concrete forming systems, including lumber/plywood and proprietary systems like Symons, Efco, and Jobsite Supply.
• Layout projects according to drawings, ensuring accurate grades and elevations.
• Build and assemble concrete forms using carpentry tools.
• Construct gang forms, climb, hang from forms, and install ties.
• Create blockouts, bulkheads, and other structures to hold concrete during placement.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding issues, materials, or safety hazards.
• Collaborate with pile-driving operators to install various pilings.
• Assist with welding and cutting procedures for building forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
