Job summary

Crest Industrial Chemicals, Inc. seeks a Chemist / Laboratory Technician to join our team in Texas. The role supports quality control, regulatory compliance, customer technical support, research and development, and overall laboratory operations.

You will perform QC testing, document results, review COCs, maintain SDSs, support sales with product evaluations, and help develop new formulations. A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field is preferred, with experience in an industrial lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Industrial/manufacturing laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety and chemical handling procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on products manufactured by the plant.
• Document and maintain accurate records of all testing and analytical results.
• Enter test results into the company's computer system.
• Review Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and other documentation for incoming raw materials.
• Collect and submit raw material samples to independent laboratories for testing when required.
• Identify and communicate quality issues or results that fall outside established specifications.
• Maintain current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals and products used or manufactured at the facility.
• Review and update product SDSs as needed to maintain compliance with applicable federal regulations and standards, including OSHA and GHS requirements.
• Ensure chemical information, labeling, and documentation remain accurate.
• Monitor regulatory changes that may affect company products or laboratory operations.
