Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Chemical Loader to load and unload chemicals from tanks, trailers, rail cars, and other containers. The role requires following precise loading procedures and using PPE to ensure safety and accuracy.

Applicants should have a TWIC card and a valid Driver's License; no minimum education is required though a PTEC degree is preferred. Experience in an industrial setting is welcomed, with equal emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required; PTEC degree preferred.
• TWIC Card and a valid Driver's License required.
• 1+ years' experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load chemicals into or from tanks, trailers, rail cars or other containers.
• Verify tank car numbers with loading instructions to ensure correct placement by crew.
• Connect ground cables to dissipate static electricity.
• Operate pumps and valves to move liquids into or out of storage tanks or cars.
• Inspect interior for cleanliness and exterior for leaks or damage.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Assist with unloading cars, connect hoses, and test for leaks when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
