Job summary

Team Industries, Inc. in Port Arthur, TX is hiring for an abrasive blasting worker. You will prepare substrates on piping, tanks and structures by pressure blasting and support coating operations.

You will mask, cap, and tape spools, maintain blast equipment, and document work as it moves to painting. Training opportunities include forklift, tug, crane and tractor operations. Ideal candidates read safety rules, follow procedures, and demonstrate problem solving, teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals and write routine paperwork.
• Ability to handle multiple concrete variables in standard situations.

Responsibilities

• Abrasive blasting of pipe, structural steel and machined parts.
• Masking, taping and capping of pipe spools.
• Light maintenance of blast equipment.
• Fill out paperwork with material as it moves from blast to paint.
• Upkeep of helmet, cape and belts; keep material organized in prep area.
• Opportunity to be trained on forklift, tug, overhead crane and tractor.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common sense.
• Maintain PPE and equipment cleanliness.
• Perform other duties; follow safety procedures.
