Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Engineer Technician I to support automation and controls within manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and equipment to minimize downtime and improve process reliability.

Responsibilities include system maintenance, data logging, documentation, and collaborating with engineers to design and start up new equipment. A strong technical background and hands-on problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

High School/GED required; technical certification preferred.
At least 5 years technical experience in the area of specialty.
PLC-based control systems knowledge, preferably Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or Siemens.
Basic PC hardware, Windows OS, and industrial network understanding.
Ability to read PLC diagnostics, HMIs, and electrical schematics.
Awareness of basic regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Provides technical service with daily monitoring and troubleshooting of systems.
Maintains documentation, logs, and operating procedures for compliance.
Supports design, startup, and troubleshooting of automation equipment and systems.
Collaborates with engineers and production teams to minimize downtime.
