Job summary
The Haskell Company is seeking a skilled electrical engineer to lead design of control systems for industrial processes and packaging applications. You will develop low voltage power and control architecture, write PLC and HMI software, and supervise vendor design and startup activities.
This role requires 5–10 years in industrial controls, strong documentation, and the ability to travel up to 40% for installations and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Degreed engineer in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in industrial controls design.
- Experience in food, pharmaceutical, beverage, or consumer products preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conceptual design and control system architecture drawings.
- Design low voltage power and control systems for automated processes, including panels, MCCs, safety systems, and network design.
- Prepare scopes of work, BOMs, specs, and installation documents.
- Review electrical drawings for quality and functionality; develop PLC/HMI/data collection software.
- Site startup support, vendor coordination, and punch-list management.
- Travel up to 40% per calendar year.
