Job summary
Alcon in Johns Creek, GA seeks an Industrial Automation Maintenance Technologist to troubleshoot and repair multi-system equipment on a 12-hour night shift. You will support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, work with engineers on upgrades, and help ensure high yield and quality across automated production lines.
The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, a technical mindset, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a production/maintenance environment.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Experience with 120/208/240/480 V power systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
- Assist team members and production staff with complex technical challenges.
- Rebuild components in the parts repair shop to original specifications.
- Enhance maintenance programs for reliability and uptime.
- Support equipment retrofits and upgrades; help revise SOPs and shop instructions.
- Optimize processes to improve quality, throughput, yield, and cost.
- Assist in executing validation protocols.
