In this role you’ll test and validate new control strategies, document all parameter tweaks, and ensure safety interlocks while providing reliable maintenance for production systems.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or closely related field.
  • Hands-on experience as a Controls Technician or similar automation role.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs and modern automation technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; works well in teams.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in control systems and production equipment to minimize downtime.

Step into a Day on Our Automation TeamAt our state-of-the-art facility in Stoughton, WI 53589, your morning begins on the production floor—controllers humming, robots at the ready. You’ll run quick PLC health checks, scan electrical schematics to validate overnight changes, and respond to a line call to diagnose a stubborn sensor fault. By midday, you’re collaborating with engineering to roll out a small controls upgrade, documenting each parameter tweak. The afternoon brings a test of a new control strategy on a pilot cell, followed by a careful review of safety interlocks.
