Gerdau in Cartersville, GA is seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer (Controls) Level II to advance automation and data-driven improvements in heavy manufacturing. You will develop control software, implement data acquisition, and collaborate with engineers to enhance safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

You will work with iBA software, SQL Server, and PLC/SCADA systems, while driving dashboards and real-time analytics. Relocation within the U.S. is available for this role.

Qualificações

• BS or higher in Mechatronics, CS, CE, or EE.
• 3+ years in industrial automation controls and OO software development.
• Heavy manufacturing background (steel, power, paper, chemical, etc.).
• iBA software experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, modify, and optimize manufacturing control system software for production goals.
• Implement and maintain data acquisition systems to support real-time analytics and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot automation issues to ensure uptime and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to resolve system challenges.
• Provide training and technical support for maintenance teams.
• Manage projects and contractors to ensure safe, timely execution.
