Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking an Assembly Operator in Mississippi to assemble components for sound-attenuated and weather-resistive enclosures. You will use drills, saws, tape measures and wrenches to mount generators and other components according to blueprints.

The role requires basic math and tape-measure reading, with 1+ year of manufacturing assembly experience preferred. You may be exposed to extreme weather and loud environments; safety gear and 5S principles apply.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of manufacturing assembly/construction experience.
• Technical degree or certification is a plus.
• Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math.
• Experience reading electrical schematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components such as sheet metals, aluminum trim and piping; mount generators and other components.
• Operate drills, saws, tape measures, wrenches and rivet guns to complete assembly tasks.
• Follow standard work procedures and blueprints to ensure safe, defect-free assembly and adjustments.
• Rotate to different positions within assembly; cross-train as needed.
• Maintain an organized, safe work area and follow 5S/continuous improvement principles.
