Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. seeks an Assembler to begin on a Harrisonburg, VA jobsite, supporting construction activities and site safety while gaining hands-on trade experience.

Following training, the role moves to Lyndhurst, VA, with shop and field duties including rigging, painting, insulation, grinding, brazing, and general duties.

Ideal candidates are reliable, mechanical, eager to learn, with good attendance; after 6–9 months, potential entry into a state-licensed apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read a tape measure and take basic measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving and reliability.
• Willingness to learn in hands-on construction and shop environments.
• Good attendance and punctuality; able to work overtime.
• Able to pass drug screening and background checks.
• Lift up to 50 lb regularly; up to 75 lb occasionally; stand and work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support general construction activities.
• Safely handle and move materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with jobsite setup, cleanup, and material staging.
• Safely rig equipment and materials.
• Operate fork trucks as needed.
• Perform grinding, sanding, and brazing.
• Paint system components and piping.
• Apply pipe and system insulation.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance in the shop.
• Transition to a state-licensed apprenticeship after baseline training.
