Job summary

Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site in Mobile, Alabama seeks an Industrial/Airport Firefighter-EMT to provide advanced firefighting, emergency medical and hazmat response in a 24/7 aviation manufacturing environment. Duties include maintaining apparatus, conducting inspections, and supporting EHS and operations.

The role requires EMT-Basic, NFPA certifications, and Alabama licensure, with rotating shifts, overtime, and weekend coverage as needed. Training and drills are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter II certification or reciprocity required.
• NFPA 472 Hazmat Operations certification or reciprocity required.
• NFPA 1003 Airport Firefighter certification or reciprocity preferred.
• EMT-Basic or higher EMS certification required and maintained.
• Valid Alabama driver license with clean record; DUI disqualifying within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Respond to aircraft, structural, EMS, and hazmat incidents and determine best response.
• Provide EMT-Basic level medical care under medical director guidance.
• Maintain station apparatus, equipment, and spare gear in ready condition.
• Complete all mandated inspections and fire safety reports.
• Assist with Emergency Action Plans and weather-related standby operations.
• Conduct and document training for employees and contractors; participate in drills.
• Drive emergency vehicles and operate radios and warning devices.
• Perform ongoing inspections of life-safety equipment and confined space rescue operations.
