Job summary

MBF North America, a ProMach product brand, is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to oversee the planning, design, and installation of machinery and equipment in an industrial facility. The position is based on site at MBF North America corporate office in Petaluma, California.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and five years of relevant experience, with strong design experience and knowledge across electronics, mechanics, pneumatics,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science is required.
• Five years of relevant experience, preferably in application engineering.
• Design experience and development of programmed applications is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and programming including electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
• Proficient with computer industrial design systems.

Responsibilities

• Calculate cost analysis for integrating new machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process.
• Use programming process knowledge and experience to adapt equipment to specific job applications.
• Prepare operating instructions and programs for equipment.
• Oversee installation of machinery and equipment to ensure they function according to specifications.
• Evaluate machinery to ensure it has the capability to complete desired functions.
• Analyze alternative techniques and methods and recommend changes to equipment or procedures as needed.
• Establish schedule of procedures and maintenance routines to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Share technical information and training with other departments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
