Job summary

MBF North America, a ProMach product brand, seeks an experienced Applications Engineer to oversee planning, design, and installation of machinery in an industrial facility. The role requires strong organization and multi-project management on site in Petaluma, CA.

Ideal candidates have a engineering/computer science background, 5+ years in applications, CAD/engineering skills, bilingual English/Spanish a plus, and excellent communication. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Five years of relevant experience, preferably in application engineering; highly preferred.
• Design experience and development of programmed applications highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and programming including electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
• Proficient with computer industrial design systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of Excel, Salesforce CRM and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Calculate cost analysis for integrating new machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process.
• Prepare operating instructions and programs for equipment.
• Oversee installation of machinery and equipment to ensure they function according to specifications.
• Evaluate machinery to ensure it can complete required functions.
• Analyze alternative techniques and recommend changes to equipment or procedures.
• Establish schedule of procedures and maintenance routines for efficiency.
• Share technical information and training with other departments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
