Job summary

Granite Construction seeks a data‑driven AI/ML engineer to design and deploy intelligent tools across aggregate and asphalt operations. You will build models, pipelines, and APIs to boost efficiency, quality, safety, and decision support in production plants.

You will collaborate with operations, sales, quality, maintenance, and IT teams, applying responsible AI practices and cybersecurity standards to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in AI, CS, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Master of Science in CS or related discipline strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AI-enabled applications to enhance efficiency and sales performance.
• Develop and refine ML models to optimize automation settings and reduce costs.
• Analyze data to optimize pricing strategies and market competitiveness.
• Integrate AI with plant systems, sensors, and databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
