Job Description

The Induction Scientist is part of the enzymology group within the department of Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, and Metabolism. This lab role supports studying induction of drug metabolizing enzymes by small molecule.

_ Responsibilities include:_

• Plate-based in vitro induction assay using primary human hepatocytes or a similar in vitro system
• Utilizing aseptic techniques to plate and culture cells.
• Occasional assay troubleshooting with colleague oversight.
• Conduct qPCR analysis of samples.
• May occasionally assess enzyme activity utilizing LC-MS/MS.
• Data processing and report generation.
• Review reports for quality.
• Contribute to general laboratory housekeeping tasks and duties.
• Maintain up to date electronic laboratory notebooks and records.
• Comply with all safety training and safe laboratory practices.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in biology or a related field
• Computer proficiency
• Effective oral and written communication and teamwork capabilities

Additional Information

Position is Full Time with Core Business hours of 9am-3pm as part of a 40-hour work week. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Groton , CT are encouraged to apply.
