Job summary

North Haven High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for its Indoor Track team. The role involves supporting the head coach, supervising student-athletes during practices and transportation, and helping with practice planning to develop athletes' potential.

The successful candidate must have or be pursuing Connecticut Coaches Certification, and be CPR/AED/First Aid certified before the first practice. Compensation follows the district's stipend scale.

Qualifications

• Connecticut Coaches Certification required before season begins.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification required before the first practice.
• Experience coaching or playing Indoor Track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with athletic department and head coach across all capacities.
• Supervise student-athletes at practices, games, and transportation.
• Assist in scheduling, organizing, and implementing practices to develop athletes.
• Maintain equipment inventory and submit an end-of-season report to the athletic director.
• Communicate with parents, including participating in preseason meetings.
