Job summary

Honey Green is seeking an entry‑level Indoor Cultivation Technician I in Missouri. You will work with cannabis plants across the cultivation lifecycle, performing foundational plant care, sanitation, documentation, and environmental monitoring.

You will learn qualified workflows, keep detailed records, and operate cultivation tools in a controlled indoor environment. Team members are expected to follow SOPs, maintain cleanliness, and support harvest and cure activities as part of the cultivation

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age and able to obtain and maintain Missouri cannabis facility credential.
• Ability to understand and follow written cultivation procedures, crop-care instructions, sanitation/biosecurity requirements, safety requirements, and documentation standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work effectively with others, and promptly raise crop, irrigation, environmental, equipment, safety, quality, or compliance concerns.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned crop-care activities across the cultivation lifecycle.
• Monitor plant condition and environmental indicators; identify signs of pests, disease, nutrient imbalance, irrigation issues, plant stress, or equipment/environmental deviation.
• Support IPM, sanitation, biosecurity, tool/equipment cleaning, and room/zone reset activities.
• Maintain accurate plant, batch, harvest, waste, treatment, movement, environmental, irrigation, cure, and other cultivation records.
• Safely operate approved tools and equipment and maintain work areas, aisles, tools, carts, containers, and cultivation support materials.
• Coordinate material and crop handoffs so Cultivation retains responsibility through hanging, bucking, and curing before transferred to Flower Processing & QC.
• Independently execute assigned technical workflows and equipment operations after qualification, including setup, monitoring, documentation, changeover, and shutdown.
• Recognize routine process deviations, quality issues, inventory mismatches, and equipment concerns and take approved first-response actions before escalation.

Position Overview

Indoor Cultivation Technician I is the entry point into Honey Green's indoor cultivation career path. Team Members in this role develop hands-on technical capability in plant care, crop observation, sanitation, documentation, equipment use, harvest and cure support, and regulated cultivation practices while learning to perform assigned work independently and consistently.

Core Responsibilities

Operations & Technical Execution

• Execute assigned crop-care activities across the cultivation lifecycle, which may include propagation/mother care, transplanting, vegetative and flowering care, pruning/defoliation, trellising/training, irrigation/fertigation support, harvest, hanging, bucking, and curing after required training.
• Monitor plant condition and assigned environmental or irrigation indicators; identify and promptly communicate signs of pests, disease, nutrient imbalance, irrigation issues, plant stress, or equipment/environmental deviation.
• Support integrated pest management (IPM), sanitation, biosecurity, tool/equipment cleaning, and room/zone reset activities in accordance with approved procedures and assigned authorization.
• Maintain accurate plant, batch, harvest, waste, treatment, movement, environmental, irrigation, cure, and other cultivation records applicable to assigned work.
• Safely operate approved tools and equipment and maintain work areas, aisles, tools, carts, containers, and cultivation support materials in organized condition.
• Coordinate material and crop handoffs so Cultivation retains responsibility through hanging, bucking, and curing before cured material is transferred to Flower Processing & QC.
• Independently execute assigned technical workflows and equipment operations after qualification, including required setup, monitoring, documentation, changeover, and shutdown activities.
• Recognize routine process deviations, quality issues, inventory mismatches, and equipment concerns and take approved first-response actions before escalation.

Level-Specific Scope & Accountability

• Primary assignments may include Propagation/Mother, Vegetative, Flower, Fertigation, Harvest & Cure, or other cultivation workflows designated by leadership; assignment does not change the team member's career level.
• Independently perform qualified foundational crop-care work such as transplanting, plant movement, pruning/defoliation, trellising/support, watering/irrigation verification, sanitation, harvest preparation, hanging, bucking, and cure handling as assigned.
• Monitor plants during routine work for visible stress, pest/disease indicators, irrigation issues, environmental abnormalities, damage, or other conditions outside normal expectations and promptly report findings.
• Read and follow room/zone work plans, plant identifiers, batch/harvest information, environmental instructions, sanitation requirements, and cultivation SOPs.
• Accurately complete plant movement, harvest, waste, treatment, environmental, production, and seed-to-sale records applicable to assigned work.
• Operate qualified cultivation tools and equipment safely and perform routine cleaning, inspection, and basic care before and after use.

Safety, Compliance & Reliability

• Maintain reliable and punctual attendance; report ready to work for the scheduled shift and follow established scheduling, break, call-off, and timekeeping expectations.
• Wear, inspect, and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow task-specific safety procedures, equipment safeguards, ergonomic practices, emergency procedures, and required training.
• Follow approved SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, facility security requirements, cannabis regulations, and required inventory or track-and-trace documentation applicable to assigned work.
• Maintain sanitation, housekeeping, hygiene, and cross-contamination controls appropriate to the work area and protect products, equipment, data, and controlled-access spaces from preventable contamination, damage, or loss.
• Promptly report injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, product-quality issues, documentation errors, inventory discrepancies, security concerns, and potential compliance deviations through the appropriate escalation path.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in indoor cultivation rooms including mother/propagation, vegetative, flower, harvest, dry/cure, and support areas. Environmental settings are controlled for crop performance rather than team member comfort and may include elevated humidity, strong airflow, bright grow lighting, and CO2-enriched areas subject to access controls.
• Frequent exposure to cannabis plants, plant debris, fertilizers/nutrients, approved plant-health inputs, water, wet floors, strong odors, and cultivation equipment is expected.
• Team Members regularly move between grow rooms and through warehouse or connecting spaces with seasonal temperature fluctuation; task-specific PPE and sanitation/biosecurity practices are required.
• Work may include harvest, hanging, bucking, and curing responsibilities as part of the cultivation lifecycle and may require schedule flexibility around plant needs and harvest timing.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, climb approved ladders, reach above shoulder height, and work around plant canopies or trellis systems for extended periods.
• Perform frequent repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions associated with pruning, defoliation, training, transplanting, harvesting, hanging, bucking, and plant handling.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds of plants, media, nutrient supplies, trays, bins, irrigation components, or other cultivation materials.
• Visually inspect plants, labels, environmental displays, irrigation conditions, and quality indicators accurately while maintaining safe movement on potentially wet surfaces.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older and able to obtain and maintain any Missouri cannabis facility credential required for the position.
• Ability to understand and follow written cultivation procedures, crop-care instructions, sanitation/biosecurity requirements, safety requirements, and documentation standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work effectively with others, and promptly raise crop, irrigation, environmental, equipment, safety, quality, or compliance concerns.
• Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to perform repetitive hands-on plant-care and production work at a consistent pace in controlled cultivation environments.
• Ability and willingness to learn qualified workflows such as transplanting, pruning/defoliation, trellising, plant movement, irrigation verification, sanitation, harvest, hanging, bucking, curing, and cultivation documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in cannabis cultivation, horticulture, greenhouse production, agriculture, controlled-environment agriculture, irrigation, landscaping, or another hands-on plant-production environment is helpful but not required.
• Familiarity with plant care, sanitation, irrigation, environmental monitoring, harvest work, hand tools, or production records is helpful.
