Job summary

Evolver is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Leader in New York to own the delivery of our tax AI products. You will lead onboarding, implementation, validation, and go-live, ensuring customers trust outputs and feed learnings back to the product.

You will work hands-on with tax data, drive multi-state understanding, and manage customer and partner relationships from scoping through post-launch support. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex indirect tax deliveries in live customer environments (onboarding, implementation, validation).
• Hands-on with tax questions, operational processes, and customer data.
• Experience with tax technology, tax engines, or ERP tax configuration in a live business.
• Comfortable working with customers and partners and communicating risks and status clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple implementations with deadlines and priorities.
• Experience with audits, notices, and tax authority interactions.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer and partner onboarding and end-to-end implementation, from scoping to post-launch support.
• Review outputs during implementation, validate platform, and communicate status to customers.
• Support customer use of the platform for audit, notice, and refund workflows.
• Deliver customer enablement, including training on product workflows and procedures.
• Create scalable delivery assets: playbooks, docs, QA checklists, training materials.
• Work hands-on with customer data to surface patterns and improve product accuracy.
• Identify bugs, gaps, and field learnings; communicate with product/engineering/QA.
