Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking an Indirect Commodity Manager to oversee sourcing of indirect goods and services across North America. You will build a robust supplier base for MRO, IT, travel and professional services, including managing one direct report.

Responsibilities include leading supplier transitions, negotiating terms, ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets, and maintaining supplier data in ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Indirect Procurement.
• Documented leadership in the Indirect Commodity.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for the sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services that support operational and strategic needs across North America. The Indirect Commodity Manager will develop and manage a robust, competitive supply base for indirect commodities—including MRO, IT, travel, professional services, facilities. This position is also responsible for one direct report.

Essential Functions

• Key Category experience in MRO, IT Hardware, Travel, and Professional services.
• Proactively identify and evaluate new suppliers and technologies in the indirect spend categories to support business operations.
• Lead and facilitate the transition and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance standards.
• Meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery expectations for all indirect procurement activities.
• Align with strategic supplier partners to leverage best-in-class solutions and maximize value.
• Partner with key internal stakeholders to negotiate commercial terms for indirect goods and services.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for indirect sourcing activities, acting as a liaison between sourcing, business units, and other functional groups.
• Lead and facilitate the process to add and maintain supplier and material data in relevant procurement systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), working closely with central materials management.
• Frequently communicate status and updates to internal stakeholders and assist in securing new services for operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.
• Support process improvements and cost-saving initiatives through cross-functional collaboration.
• Be the key person for general sourcing department activities including office supply ordering, time clock input\vacation calendar, overflow for Indirect order processing, CBP lead, etc.

• 3 to 5 years’ related experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Indirect Procurement.
