Responsibilities
  1. Work with partners to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success.
  2. Participate and/or lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation.
  3. Lead Site Supplier Performance and Relationships.
  4. Own procurement process for designated areas and accounts.
  5. Negotiate with suppliers to meet business needs.
  6. Support capital budgeting and cash flow management, and the execution of Global Procurement strategies.
  7. Handle cost saving initiatives and metrics; implement cost savings and process improvement programs.
  8. Serve as a consultant for procurement processes and supplier issues.
  9. Support site audits.
  10. Responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services.
  11. Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities.
  12. Acquire and maintain technical understanding of products purchased.
  13. Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
  14. Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
  15. Recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria.
  16. May telecommute from home part-time.
Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Global Supply Chain Management, Procurement or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an indirect regional supplier manager-related occupation.

Position also requires experience in:

  1. Procurement
  2. Contract redlining
  3. Ability to problem solve and demonstrate negotiation skills.
  4. Supplier management
  5. Identifying cost savings opportunities and targets and execute against them.
