Job summary
TE Connectivity is seeking a Sourcing Executive - Indirect Material for an on-site role in the Rochester, New York area. You will develop commodity strategies, identify suppliers, and lead cost-reduction initiatives across indirect spend.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- 8+ years of experience in sourcing, preferably in the Optics industry.
- Proficiency in office software; knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience working in a global role in multinational companies.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Develop commodity strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and develop new suppliers with cross-functional teams.
- Optimize the supplier base to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Conduct RFQs for new material or services.
- Negotiate contracts including NDAs and master purchasing agreements.
- Drive cost reduction through analysis and negotiation.
- Collaborate with engineering on VA/VE projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to hit project KPIs.
- Lead quarterly supplier scorecard reviews for performance.
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Perform tactical work in SAP.
- Collaborate with plant teams daily.
