Job summary

Radiant, an El Segundo, CA-based startup, seeks an Indirect Procurement Associate to support sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services—Facilities, IT, Professional Services, MRO, consumables, and R&D collaborations. This hands-on role pairs with senior staff to develop commercial and negotiation skills.

You’ll work with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Production to refine supplier selection, cost trade-offs, and contract support on site in El Segundo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required or strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience; procurement/sourcing experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong technical/mechanical aptitude with interest in commercial engineering aspects.
• Good analytical and organizational skills; willing to learn negotiation and contracts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with ERP/MRP and standard office software; willing to learn quickly.
• Occasional travel to supplier locations (up to 20%).

Responsibilities

• Support indirect procurement for facilities, IT, MRO, and consumables by gathering requirements and evaluating supplier capability against engineering needs.
• Assist with drafting and reviewing SOWs, NDAs, and PO terms; help prepare negotiation positions for MSAs and licensing agreements under guidance from senior staff.
• Manage facilities/MRO procurement tasks; coordinate with vendors on maintenance, repairs, equipment, and lab build-out needs.
• Track purchase orders through the procure-to-pay cycle, flagging delays or mismatches early.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for select suppliers, escalating high-stakes commercial matters to senior staff.
• Contribute technical judgment to cost and quality trade-off discussions.
• Identify supply chain risks from an engineering perspective (obsolescence, service quality).
• Support process documentation and improvement efforts.
