Job summary

Lydech Thermal Acoustic Solutions (TAS) seeks a Buyer – Indirect Goods & Services to lead strategic and tactical procurement for indirect spend across Hamptonville, NC and Novi, MI. You will drive category plans, supplier selection, and negotiations to optimize total cost of ownership.

The role requires 3+ years as a buyer, a strategic mindset, and strong Excel/Office proficiency. You will work with cross-functional teams to support budgets and ensure timely supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ experience as a buyer.
• Strategic thinker.
• Self‑motivated and adept at independently achieving tactical objectives and completing assigned tasks.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 or another MRP application.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Strong demonstrated team skill set and can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market/commodity trends to inform category plans and supplier selection.
• Negotiate for best total cost of ownership with suppliers.
• Support annual procurement budgets for indirect spend.
• Conduct competitive sourcing events to minimize material costs.
• Develop sourcing strategies for supplier development and risk mitigation.
• Approve order requisition pricing for PO issuance.
• Collaborate with maintenance to ensure quality and address discrepancies.
• Monitor supplier performance and new part introductions.
• Maintain contracts, supplier data, and confidentiality agreements.
