Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor, MI is seeking a Buyer, Indirect Procurement (Analyst) to own the commercial strategy for a high-value indirect spend portfolio (~$100M). You will partner with business leaders and suppliers to drive value, negotiate contracts, and develop category strategies across the organization.

This role offers visibility across functions, opportunities to lead sourcing initiatives, and a path to impactful cost reductions while aligning with Whirlpool’s goals and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2+ years experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve supplier performance and commercial relationships.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts and/or statements of work with Whirlpool's suppliers.
• Resolve daily operational challenges within the supply base.
• Develop and execute category strategies to achieve objectives.
• Lead category activities with governance, controls, and reporting.
• Conduct market analysis to inform strategies and mitigate risk.
• Drive supplier base consolidation and partnerships across stakeholders.
• Prioritize resources and manage critical procurement projects and milestones.
• Deliver results across KPIs, including cost savings and delivery metrics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to champion change and continuous improvement.
