Walgreens Co. in Deerfield, IL is seeking a procurement professional to execute indirect spend strategies from needs identification to delivery. You will help reduce costs, negotiate with suppliers, and align category plans with company goals, while working on-site four days a week.

You will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, track KPIs, and collaborate with Operations, Legal, and Finance to optimize spend. Willingness to travel up to 10% is required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years in retail, sales, and/or category management or GED plus 4 years in related analysis.
• Knowledge of procurement lifecycle and best practices.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and developing/executing sourcing strategies.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to meet goals within budget and timelines.
• Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.

Mansioni

• Manage day-to-day supplier relations and identify growth opportunities within the supplier base.
• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies, including RFIs/RFPs and bid events.
• Assist with business plans, performance goals, and metrics for each category.
• Collaborate on inventory control and lifecycle of products; propose cost-reduction opportunities.
• Track spend and KPI performance; support reporting and data analysis.
• Participate in weekly category review meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Support Savings goals and balanced spend portfolio through coordinated sourcing activities.
• Monitor supplier performance for on-time delivery and contract compliance.
• Mentor team and communicate clearly to drive improvements.
