Job summary

ENPOINTE in Brooklyn Park, MN, is seeking an Indigo Press Operator for the 2nd shift to manage digital press operation and ensure product quality. The role covers startup maintenance, ink handling, loading/unloading stock, and color calibration on Indigo systems.

Key duties include making-ready and proofs, color stability checks, maintenance logging, and coordination with VP of Operations for repairs or upgrades. Non-exempt, hourly position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years technical school training or equivalent.
• 2+ years operating Indigo digital press equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs press startups and startup maintenance.
• Fills ink canisters, oil reservoirs and maintains equipment subsystems.
• Loads and unloads paper.
• Performs press shutdown maintenance (wash-up).
• Installs blankets, PIP, and impression backer sheets as required.
• Performs required automatic calibrations of pressure and color.
• Adjusts press parameters as required to accommodate stock and image quality.
• Produces preliminary make-ready and press proofs.
• Continuously checks sheets during press run to maintain quality and color standards.
• Takes care of equipment by following work procedures and performing required tests and maintenance.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on press as needed.
• Responsible for keeping accurate and up to date maintenance log.
• Passes on printed material to other operations such as bindery, coating or shipping as required.
• Responsible for ensuring chemicals are accurately labeled and readable on all containers being used on equipment.
• Preserves and passes along customer artwork in clean and undamaged condition.
• Reports time and materials consumption accurately.
• Reports all problems and scheduling constraints to VP of Operations.
• Coordinates repair service or FCO upgrades with HP/Indigo and the VP of Operations.
