Job summary

United American Indian Involvement, Inc. in Los Angeles seeks a Licensed Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

You will assess, diagnose, and provide individual, family, and group therapy within culturally grounded care. The role requires CA LCSW/LMFT and a commitment to trauma-informed practice, confidentiality, and collaboration with DMH and community partners.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
  • California licensure to practice independently (LCSW/LMFT).
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience with diverse families.
  • Experience with LA County DMH as outpatient provider preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate mental health care for American Indian/Alaska Native clients in LA County.
  • Provide individual, couples and family therapy using evidence-based approaches.
  • Deliver psychoeducational groups and parenting classes.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and risk assessments.
  • Submit paperwork promptly and maintain client charts per DMH and policy.
  • Maintain 70% billable productivity; collaborate with multi-disciplinary team.
  • Attend meetings and coordinate with case managers for referrals.
  • Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
