Job description

Indiana University Health is seeking a BE/BC Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon to join IU's Department of Orthopaedics in downtown Indianapolis.

IU's Orthopaedic group is the second largest in Indiana, comprising over 40 physicians, 30+ advanced providers, and 150+ support staff. As Indiana’s leading health system dedicated to improving the health of Hoosiers, we provide reliable access to specialty care.

Position Details:

  • Full-time
  • Perform complex and simple orthopaedic spine procedures
  • 60% Inpatient / 40% Outpatient
  • Collaborate with the Department Chair and colleagues to develop a dedicated spine section within the department
  • Work with Primary Care, PM&R, Neurosurgery, and other disciplines to build a comprehensive Spine Program
  • Practice Locations: IU Health Methodist Hospital (Level I Trauma Center, downtown Indianapolis) and outreach at local IU Health suburban hospitals and clinics as needed

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO
  • Board Eligible or Certified in the United States
  • Orthopaedic Spine fellowship training required
  • Open to both new graduates and practicing physicians
