Qualifications

• ILEA Tier 1 Certification required.
• Full‑time sworn officer with primary patrol duties.
• High School Diploma or HSE required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and Indiana resident.
• Age 21–40 by appointment date (with PERF exception).
• No felony conviction; no domestic violence misdemeanor per 18 USC 922(g).
• Valid Indiana driver's license; Indiana residency at appointment.
• No dishonorable military discharge.

Responsabilités

• Patrols assigned area in vehicle and on foot with high visibility.
• Investigates crimes, preserves evidence, may testify in court.
• Performs searches and seizures, breathalyzer tests, and transports detainees.
• Maintains uniform, equipment, and records; completes reports.
• Attends in‑service and firearms training; provides first aid when needed.
