A leading collegiate sports organization is seeking a Sports Video Coordinator to support broadcast productions. The role involves managing video projects, training crews, and assisting with live events for the Indiana State Sports Network. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in media production.
The Sports Video Coordinator is an annually-appointed graduate assistant position that provides support for Indiana State University's Student Media sports broadcast productions through the Indiana State Sports Network (ISSN) and The Valley On ESPN, the Missouri Valley Conference's co-branded digital network.
Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist the Video Manager with athletic television productions on ESPN+, including graphics, commercial reels, features and sponsored elements. • Produce, direct and associate direct live events. • Assist with the development of ISSN crews in recruiting, hiring, and training (camera operation, replay, audio, graphics, technical direction, etc.). • Assist in Indiana State University Student Media new media efforts, including highlight video production and social media education, monitoring and promotion. Secondary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist with research as requested for broadcast prep. • Assist with miscellaneous duties as assigned by Sports Video Manager.
Bachelor's Degree (4 years) Preferred Relevant Experience:
At least two years of experience in audio/video production and post-production, camera operation, non-linear editing, lighting, producing and directing live and taped shows.
Knowledge of a variety of media formats and requirements for saving and exporting.
Demonstrated experience with a non-linear editing system, Adobe Premiere.
Experience in an educational or corporate environment producing and developing video projects.
Ability to take direction and make decisions in a fast pace, deadline driven environment.
Excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills, time management, and interpersonal skills.
At least one year of experience as a manager of video production department.
