Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Provider Engagement Professional to develop and grow positive relationships with physicians, providers, and health systems within Indiana's Medicaid program.

This role supports onboarding, training, inquiries, and issue resolution to improve financial and quality performance under Humana Healthy Horizons Indiana. You will travel up to 25% to meet providers and attend Humana offices as needed, reporting to the Provider Engagement Manager.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Indiana.
• 2+ years of health care or managed care experience.
• Experience with training and educating providers.
• Experience with formal presentations using PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Excel pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Maintain primary relationships with physical and behavioral health providers to ensure positive experiences and network retention.
• Conduct trainings, education sessions, and required annual trainings for providers.
• Assist onboarding of new providers, including orientation sessions.
• Respond to provider questions and escalate issues to enterprise teams (claims, authorizations, referrals) as needed.
• Organize Service Operating Committee meetings with providers and team members.
• Communicate updates on Humana policies and Indiana program changes.
• Coordinate regional provider townhalls and trainings.
• Collaborate with internal resources and systems (claims, reimbursement, enrollment).
• Ensure compliance with Indiana managed care contract requirements and dispute timeframes.
