Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc, a worldwide leader in engineering and technical consulting, seeks a civil engineer with forensic expertise to provide investigation and analysis for insurance, legal, and industrial clients. You will assess causes of structural failures and building envelope issues, prepare reports, and potentially testify.

You will manage multiple projects and interact with clients at all levels. Required is a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering and PE license in the state of employment.
• 2–10+ years of Civil Engineering experience, preferably in forensic, field investigation or project management.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prepare scopes of work, budgets and reports.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve legal matters and claims.
• Perform field investigations and gather evidence, review drawings, contracts, or specifications; conduct interviews.
• Prepare oral and written reports to document findings and provide opinions; testify as needed in litigation.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with other experts to deliver client reports on time.
• Ensure safety diligence throughout the project.
