Job summary

CompHealth is seeking an inpatient psychiatrist for a hospital-based practice with 100% inpatient duties in Fort Wayne, IN. Qualifications

• Hospital-based inpatient psychiatry with 100% inpatient duties.
• Supervise residents and sign off notes for 1 APP on shift.
• Handle involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint.
• Pharmacotherapy role; group and family therapy preferred.
• Residency program is onsite.
• Adult and pediatric mix: 75% adult, 25% pediatric (age 5+).
• 7 on/7 off schedule; Monday start, Sunday end.
• Housing/travel and comprehensive malpractice coverage provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive inpatient psychiatric care for 16–20 patients per day.
• Supervise residents and sign off notes for one APP on shift.
• Manage involuntary commitments, seclusion, and restraints as needed.
• Utilize pharmacotherapy and coordinate group/family therapy as feasible.
• Coordinate with onsite residency program and online assignment/time portal.
