Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, tandoori items, and appetizers, following traditional recipes.
- Utilize Indian cooking techniques such as roasting, braising, and simmering to enhance flavors and authenticity.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Monitor ingredient usage, minimize waste, and maintain consistent food quality.
- Work efficiently across multiple stations in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Comply with all food safety regulations as outlined in the Food Safety Management System.
- Report any food safety concerns or operational issues to management.
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with inventory, prep work, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook specializing in Indian cuisine.
- Culinary certification or relevant training is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine ingredients, cooking methods, and flavor profiles.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
