Job summary

Guardian is seeking an Indexed Product Investment Management Lead to own the index and investment strategy agenda behind FIA and RILA products, in partnership with the Head of Indexed Annuities. This role requires translating complex investment concepts for advisors and clients and working across pricing, hedging, and ALM teams.

The ideal candidate has investments and derivatives experience, with strong communication and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; professional designations are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in investments, derivatives, hedging, annuity pricing, or index-linked product management.
• Working knowledge of index construction, options pricing, hedge budgets, and funding of crediting mechanics.
• Strong executive and technical communication skills for internal partners, advisors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Drive the index and crediting strategy across Guardian's FIA and RILA portfolio, including current index menu and methods.
• Lead R&D on new indices and investment strategies with index providers, investment banks, and asset managers.
• Evaluate proposed indices for construction, behavior, volatility control, and fit with advisor/client use cases.
• Partner with Pricing, Hedging, and ALM on option budgets, hedge feasibility, and economics of index choices.
• Support monthly new business and renewal rate-setting with competitive/investment perspectives on caps, participation, spreads, and triggers.
• Monitor and explain index/strategy performance and help marketing with clear materials for advisors and wholesalers.
