Qualifications

• Hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in good standing in the United States (Ohio) and current DEA registration.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Interest and/or experience in avian and exotic medicine is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated independent clinical judgment and evidence-based medicine.
• Strong communication with clients, patients, and team.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in practice ownership and growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care with clinical judgment.
• Care for diverse patients including dogs, cats, avian, and exotic species.
• Build long-lasting relationships with clients and educate on care options.
• Mentor and collaborate with the medical team and learn the business of veterinary medicine.
• Contribute to operational and growth decisions as part of ownership discussions.
• Maintain thorough medical records and uphold a clean, safe hospital.
• Foster a positive culture and a fun, supportive work environment.
